We always visit excellent winemaker/owner Justin Wiley, his dog Murphy and his winery whenever we travel to Walla Walla. And we always have a memorable tasting experience, whether outside or in the friendly tasting room. Most recently, we spent a relaxing afternoon with Justin in his scenic, beautifully landscaped outdoor area, with stunning views of the Blue Mountains and surrounding vineyards.

First, we finally took some short road trips to Washington and Oregon wine countries. For example, we drove to Walla Walla, Red Mountain, Leavenworth, Lake Chelan, Carlton and Willamette Valley. Next, we also enjoyed many wonderful wines at home or with friends. Therefore, this list exemplifies the favorite 50 wines that we tasted last year. Barbecue RedsAh, summer! That is to say, it’s grilling season, and time for that special pairing of Barbecue Reds. So fire up the BBQ and bring out your favorite red wines. For example, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Syrah and Bordeaux-style blends complement ribs, juicy hamburgers or steaks.
