We applaud our state’s wineries every month of every year. And, in the midst of COVID-19, our state wineries really need our support.

You can enjoy Washington wine from the safety and comfort of your home by ordering wine online, utilizing curbside pickup services and other creative winery promotions during these tough times.

Still Time to Support Washington Wine Month

Washington wine month ends March 31 and now, more than ever, our state wineries need our support. All over the state, wineries shut down their tasting rooms and are taking special measures to deal with COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Most importantly, they appreciate our purchases of their wine. Many still offer online sales. Some provide curbside pickup. Check your favorite wineries directly for details. Our Favorite 50 Washington Wineries in 2019

NYE WineHappy New Year! As we begin 2020, it’s time for our annual Favorite Washington Wineries List for the previous year. The way to get on our list is fairly simple. Above all, wineries must offer great juice and good people who provide an excellent wine experience.

Perhaps we had fun or learned something in a tasting room, a wine shop tasting, or at a wine event. Maybe someone from a winery sent us a personal note or wine samples. Likewise, we were occasionally invited to an incredible winery party.

Most noteworthy, the people who made our experience special are the winemakers, the tasting room staff, and the amazing workers in the vineyards where it all begins.

Exquisite Long Shadows

We recently sat down with Gilles Nicault, talented winemaker  and director of winemaking and viticulture at the highly acclaimed Washington winery, Long Shadows.

Gilles, whom we’ve known for years, took time out of a busy day at the end of harvest to chat with us at the Walla Walla tasting room.

He also poured us a selection of the exquisite current releases. Not surprisingly, we were impressed with each one of them.
