Such Great News!

There’s nothing like starting a new month with some great news! I just discovered that I am on three lists at ALAWine.com:  this blog is on the 100 Top Wine Blogs, and my Twitter handle, WriteforWine, landed on these two lists: Top 100 Wine Tweeters and Most Listed Wine Tweeters.

How exciting! I apologize if it appears I am trumpeting it here, but the reality is I am honored and humbled to be in such great company.

Several Washington and California friends and colleagues are also on the lists – Catie at Through The Walla Walla Grape Vine, Paul at PMabray, Sean at Washington Wine Report, Josh at NectarWine and Drink Nectar, David at Goosecross Cellars and Tom at Fermentation.

The Top 100 Wine Blog ratings are “standardized composite logarithmic scores based on multiple relative link popularity rankings from three top search engines and Technorati, as well as Google page rank scores.”

The Top 100 Wine Tweeters rankings are based on “a mix of quantities and ratios of followers and friends, updates and those with links, retweets and retweeted, references to and from others, and twitter lists (with some exclusions for noise, off-topic and similar factors).”

The Most-Listed Wine Tweeters are “included on 150 or more Twitter lists.”

The ALAWine lists also offer easy ways to follow people on their lists, so be sure to check it out.

Cheers!
