Sure, Seattle weather has been record-breaking cool and wet this spring. But rather than complain, think of those people in other cities who are suffering tornadoes, floods and hurricanes. We don’t have it so bad!
And a sure sign that summer is around the corner – the lineup and dates have been released for the 2011 Summer Concert Series at Chateau Ste. Michelle.
Kick back and listen to Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges and his band performing songs from Crazy Heart (Aug. 28). Or maybe you prefer oldies such as the Moody Blues to kick off the series on June 4, Steve Miller Band on July 16 or Peter Frampton on Aug. 12.
Due to overwhelming demand, a second show has been added for Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, Sarah McLachlan and friends (July 19 and 20).
Or maybe you’d enjoy the acoustic evening with Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt (June 12) or the high-energy Gipsy Kings (Aug. 7). The series wraps up on Sept. 10 with the B-52’s and The Human League.
So forget the rain, clouds and cool temperatures! Instead think ahead to warm evenings, gorgeous surroundings and fabulous wine, while enjoying concerts with the peacocks on the lawn at Ste. Michelle.
And don’t forget – net proceeds help fund Chateau Ste. Michelle’s charitable contributions program, which supports a broad range of non-profit organizations.
We hope to see you there!
Cheers!
