Lauren Ashton

Lauren Ashton 2022 Spring ReleasesWe always look forward to June releases from Lauren Ashton Cellars for one simple reason — co-owner/winemaker Kit Singh makes great wine. Certainly, his recent releases of 2021 Rosé and 2017 Cuvée Arlette are solid proof. We have enjoyed Kit’s impressive wines since the day he and his wife and co-owner Riinu opened their Woodinville winery in 2012. And these two releases continue in the tradition we respect: extraordinary wines for an enduring value. If you are looking for a Washington winery that produces consistently great wine at a decent price point, look no further than Lauren Ashton Cellars.

Lauren Ashton June Release Wines

Lauren Ashton’s 2021 Rosé and 2017 Cuvée Arlette demonstrate the versatility and consistent quality of Kit Singh’s wine. We recommend them both. Think seafood or summer salads for Rosé and barbecue for Cuvée Arlette. Moreover, you can simply drink rosé without food, as a refreshing summer sipper. In addition, you can linger over Arlette without food too.

2021 Rosé ($21)

2021 RoseLauren Ashton Rosé 2021 equally blends Grenache (50%) and Mourvedre (50%), sourced from Lonesome Springs vineyard in the Columbia Valley. This Rosé is bright, balanced, lively and dry. It features red berry, watermelon and citrus flavors as well as spicy notes. We’ve been sipping on this rosé for years. It’s always exemplified the high quality of rosé in Washington state, and is perfect for National Rosé Day on June 11, or all year round.

Cuvée Arlette 2017 ($55)

2017 Cuvee ArletteWe have also loved every vintage of this elegant red wine, Cuvée Arlette. The 2017 is a rich and complex Bordeaux-style blend of Merlot (67%), Cabernet Franc (17%) and 8% each of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. This results in a layered, luxurious and structured wine with notes of red and dark fruit, cassis, cocoa and caramel, hints of spiciness and a thread of minerality. Pair this beauty with BBQ steak, like we did, or other grilled meats, pork or lamb dishes.
