Warmer weather means it’s time to sip rosé on the deck or patio, lakeside, oceanside or poolside. And Lauren Ashton Cellars 2019 Rosé is a gorgeous start to the season.
First, the latest release of Lauren Ashton Rosé exemplifies the high quality of the 2019 rosés in Washington state.
Second, we have enjoyed this rosé, vintage after vintage, but the addition of Cinsault in 2019 brings some light spices to the mix, so it’s our favorite.
Specifically, Lauren Ashton Rosé blends Grenache (41%), Mourvedre (41%), Cincault (9%) and Counoise (9%), sourced from Lonesome Springs vineyard in the Columbia Valley. Elegant and balanced, this beautiful rosé is bright, lively, refreshing, crisp and dry, featuring red berry and citrus flavors as well as spicy notes.
Because of the current pandemic, the winery couldn’t host their annual #ReleaseTheRose event. But you can purchase the wine from their website for $21. If you buy a case, free home delivery is available to Woodinville, Bothell, Redmond and Kirkland. (Shipping is also available.)
Of note, rosé can be paired with seafood, shellfish, smoked salmon, salads, pasta and Asian dishes. Or simply drink rosé without food, watching the sunset reflected in its pretty color.
Thanks to Lauren Ashton Cellars for the sample. We’ll want to buy some for the summer months ahead!
Cheers!
