Treveri

Karlee ReynoldsWe finally visited Washington’s incredible Treveri Cellars, just south of Yakima, and are still trying to figure out why it took us so long. Treveri is a family-owned sparkling wine house, which has served its bubbles at White House State Department receptions and the James Beard Foundation in New York. Borgo Maragliano

Borgo Maragliano BubblesBorgo Maragliano produces elegant, classic-method bubbles, which are delicious for special occasions or simply because it’s a lovely day. Located in Piedmont, near Asti, Italy, the estate comprises 110 acres of vineyards about 1,500 feet above sea level. This low altitude, combined with sea wind and the vineyards’ sandy-clay soil, creates a wonderful environment for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling grapes. We recently tasted three sparklers: Borgo Maragliano 2020 Francesco Galliano Blanc de Blancs Brut Alta Langa DOCG; 2020 Giovanni Galliano Brut Rosé Alta Langa DOCG; and 2018 Dogma Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature VS.Q. 2018.
