If you are looking for a food-friendly, wallet-friendly wine, it’s time to try beautiful Beaujolais from one of the 12 appellations in eastern France. Specifically, Beaujolais is easy and elegant. It pairs with grilled meats, seafood, winter salads and more. Meanwhile, the best cheese pairing is Gruyere. We recently received samples of five bottles, and we really liked three of them. Lula Cellars is located on a 22-acre property located in Philo, just a couple of hours north of San Francisco. In the area known as “The Deep End” of Anderson Valley, some of its more famous winery neighbors are Twomey and Navarro Vineyards. We recently tasted four balanced, complex and lovely Lula wines – three Pinot Noirs and a Rosé of Pinot Noir. We enjoyed them all, and so did our friends who shared them with us.
About one month ago, we told you about our recent experience tasting wine from Utopia Vineyard and Winery. We also shared our thoughts on Utopia Pinot Noir Blanc “Bliss,” Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Paradise and Utopia Estate Pinot Noir.
