We recently spent time with extraordinary Washington winemaker Morgan Lee, who kindly shared four bottles of remarkable Two Vintners wines with us. They included an appealing sparkling rosé and a unique Rhône blend, along with captivating Merlot and Reserve Merlot. National Rosé Day
June 11 is National Rosé Day. But also keep in mind that summer is around the corner and therefore, there’s always an occasion to “rosé all day”! Certainly, it’s time to drink pink on the patio, oceanside or poolside. We sip it on our deck lakeside on warm evenings, and watch its pretty color match the gorgeous Washington sunsets. However, we haven’t finalized all our bottles to open on National Rosé Day this year. Read on for the list of possibilities.
Wiens Family Cellars
Wiens Family Cellars combines standout wines, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and scenic surroundings. As a result, our winery experience was memorable when we visited Temecula earlier this month. As you can see, we brought quite a few bottles home. Moreover, we discovered that Wiens Family Cellars is a true family collaboration. Troon Wines
We first tasted Troon wines in 2012 at the Portland Wine Media Conference. In an Oregon wine world of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Troon stood out, enticing us with other varieties to experience from Applegate Valley. Four years later, Craig Camp became Troon’s general manager. And that’s when Troon started its journey to become a champion for organic farming and regenerative agriculture. Next, at the 2018 wine media conference, Craig introduced us to Troon’s latest high-quality lineup. Finally, fast-forward to this summer. Of course, we visited Troon during our 2021 trip to Oregon wine country. And we discovered that Troon wines have emerged as unique, natural and exceptional.
