Every year, talented winemakers Marty Clubb, Marcus Rafanelli and their team produce L’Ecole stars. From refreshing whites to luscious reds, L’Ecole wines move to the front of the class. These five fall releases continue the trend of impressive wines from the historic schoolhouse in Walla Walla — especially the magnificent 2020 Cellar Selection Cabernet Sauvignon (which honors L’Ecole’s 40th anniversary). L’Ecole is one of the most honored wineries in WA, and has generated national and international accolades for superior quality wines. Read on for more about these five stars.

South Africa Wines
We are passionate about South Africa wines. For example, in the last few weeks, we discovered five remarkable bottles from MAN Family, Stark-Condé, Lievland and Boekenhoutskloof. All four are well-known South African producers. Three lovely Chenin Blancs paired nicely with our patio on these dwindling warm evenings. Meanwhile, two rich Cabernet Sauvignons graced our dinner table. Read on for details.
L’Ecole Wine
We always make our first stop in Walla Walla at L’Ecole 41‘s historic schoolhouse, to visit talented winemaker Marcus Rafanelli and taste impressive L’Ecole wine. We also always enjoy seeing Marcus, whose skill and love for WA wine shines. Last month, we tasted 12 of his wines; half were tank samples because his team was bottling that week. L’Ecole is one of the most honored wineries in WA, and has generated national and international accolades for producing superior quality wines.
