Super Bowl of Wine

Yes, we know Taste Washington is not officially or unofficially called “the Super Bowl of Wine Events.” But for more than a decade, we have bestowed that title on the country’s largest single-region wine and food extravaganza.

This year, Taste Washington features more than 235 wineries, 65 restaurants and some of the nation’s top chefs.

So run, don’t walk to get your tickets. You do not want to miss this explosion of tastes, fun and education on March 28-31 in Seattle.

The event is the result of a continued partnership between Visit Seattle and Washington State Wine.

Our Favorite 50 Washington Wineries

NYE WineHappy New Year! As we begin 2019, it’s time for our annual Favorite Washington Wineries List for the previous year. The way to get on our list is fairly simple: wineries must offer great juice and good people who provide an excellent wine experience.

Perhaps we had fun or learned something in a tasting room, a wine shop tasting, or at a wine event. Perhaps someone from the winery gave us a call, or sent us a personal note or samples. Or perhaps we were invited to an incredible winery party.

These people who made our experience special include the winemakers; the winery owners; the hard-working staff in a tasting room who went out of their way to make us feel welcome; and the amazing workers in the vineyards where it all begins.

Auction of Washington Wines Next Month!

The most spectacular, glamorous and fun-filled summer wine weekend event, the Auction of Washington Wines, is just around the corner, Aug. 16-18 — a non-profit wine event focused on elevating awareness of Washington state wines, with proceeds benefitting Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Viticulture and Enology program at Washington State University.

This August marks the 31st year of the event, which has raised more than $41 million since 1988 and is ranked in the Top 5 U.S. Charity Auctions.
