Wines from four wineries

We had a great wine weekend recently, but my computer crashed in a big way, so I haven’t been able to write about the details. I will start to blog again as soon as I can get caught up on another computer.

Briefly, we started out at a release party at Mark Ryan Winery, stopped by Alexandria Nicole and Di Stefano and wound up the evening at an amazing party at Woodhouse Family Cellars.

I’m looking forward to writing about some awesome reds! Until then …

  1. I attended the Mark Ryan release party as well. Several people we spoke with liked the Syrah and the Pinot Noir but they had too much acid and tannin for my palate. I’m sure they would cellar well but $48.00 a bottle was too much for a wine I couldn’t drink for several years yet. Especially when Woodhouse’s Darighe is similarly priced, drinkable now and can be cellared. The one stand out at Mark Ryan was the Viognier. I’m not a big white wine drinker but I left with 6 bottles. By the way, I finally joined the Woodhouse Wine Club to take advantage of their Cab Franc. Maybe we’ll meet at a future Woodhouse event. Cheers.
