Hi Bob,
You are absolutely right -- our palates do appear to be similar. I wrote about Cuillin's 2005 The Dungeon after St. Nick's weekend: http://writeforwine.com/wineblog/2008/01/03/arlington-road-baer-cuillin-hills-and-edmonds-winery/

I'm glad you like Woodhouse family Cellars -- it's one of our favorite wineries in Woodinville. Darighe and Dussek are among my favorites too, but we also really enjoy many wines in the Kennedy Shah label.

Maybe we will bump into each other there one weekend. Next time you go, please tell Bijal that you read my blog!
Cheers,
Margot

My wife & I spent Saturday afternoon visiting several tasting rooms in North Woodinville and had the opportunity to meet the wine makers at Washington Wine Company. Our experience was similar to yours, a chance to barrel taste the varietals for upcoming blends. Time got away from us and we lost the chance to visit Woodhouse Family which is a must when I'm in Woodinville. Sounds like you had a lovely time. Maybe we'll bump into each other there in the future. Darighe and Dussek are among my 10 favorite Washington wines. Rich, luscious, almost decadent.

P.S. If you like big, bold, dark, Syrahs, check out Derek Desvoigne's Cuilin Hills "The Dungeon". The 2005 is sold out but the 2006 is being barrel tasted now for release on March 29. They are taking pre-sale orders. It will be worth your time.
